Ankang College is the only provincial full-time undergraduate college in Ankang, whose main task is to cultivate applied talents with high comprehensive quality and innovative spirit. Its predecessor was Ankang College, which was founded in 1958. 1963 closed due to national economic difficulties and resumed in August 1978.
The school undertook 16 provincial-level educational reform projects, won 18 provincial-level teaching achievement awards, and established 27 national-level and provincial-level vocational skill appraisal platforms. In the past three years, there have been 63 national and provincial college students' innovation and entrepreneurship training programs/kloc-0. Students won 128 national awards and 5 17 provincial and ministerial awards in professional competitions, innovative skills competitions and cultural and sports competitions in mathematical modeling, challenge cup and other disciplines. The school's existing disciplines cover ten categories, including law, education, literature, science, engineering, agriculture, management, art, economics and medicine. The second-level college 13, undergraduate major 4 1, has formed the direction of Qinba modern agriculture discipline featuring tea, konjac, pig breeding and selenium-enriched food, and the direction of Qinba water resources protection and utilization featuring the Han River.
