Formerly known as Yangzhong, Mu Xin, pen name Mu Xin, formerly known as Sun Pu in Chinese, he is a legendary master, painter and writer in overseas Chinese cultural circles. 1927 February 14 was born in the old house of Langanqiao, Dongshan, Wuzhen, and moved to Sunjiahuayuan, Caishen Bay, Dongzha at the age of 5.

Mu Xin is a contemporary writer and artist who is not well-known in China but well-known abroad. He received a good traditional private school education since childhood. 1946 He entered the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, founded by Liu Haisu, to study oil painting, but soon he switched to Lin Fengmian, whose concept was closer, and entered the Hangzhou National Academy of Art to continue the exploration of Chinese and Western painting. Since the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), Mu Xin has been working in a handicraft shop, insisting on his own artistic creation. During the Cultural Revolution, Mu Xin was arrested and imprisoned. He was imprisoned for 18 months, and all his works were burned. In prison, Mu Xin wrote prison notes with paper and pen, and wrote a "confession". After the Cultural Revolution, he was rehabilitated and served as Secretary General of Shanghai Arts and Crafts Association.

Mu Xin left China on 1982 and has lived in new york ever since.
