What is the school emblem of Peking University?
The emblem of Peking University is surrounded by the word "Peking University" in seal script, which is convenient for making circular badges. Ingeniously, the word "big" below looks like one person, and the word "north" above looks like two people, thus forming the image of "three people make a group". It is also like a person carrying two people, giving people the imagination that "Peking University people have a heavy responsibility on their shoulders". In terms of artistic treatment, this badge has simple composition, smooth and regular lines and rich meanings.

background

Shi Jing University Hall, founded in 1898, is the first university in the modern history of China. On May 19 12, Shi Jing University Hall was renamed as "National Peking University". 19 16 12 Mr. Cai Yuanpei became the president of Peking University. Prior to this, although Peking University was the highest institution of learning in China, there was nothing new, that is, it did not have its own national flag logo, which brought great inconvenience to students and staff. In the second year after Mr Cai took office, he asked Lu Xun to design the emblem of Peking University.

Today's Peking University emblem was officially launched in June 2007. It is enriched and developed on the basis of the logo designed by Lu Xun. The new design has added new connotation, but it still uses the logo designed by Lu Xun in that year, which fully shows its historical value and profound practical significance.
