The professional catalogue includes philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, art (tentative) 12. The professional catalogue consists of four parts: professional code, professional name, degree-granting category and management authority. The professional code consists of six-digit codes, with the first two representing the discipline category and the first four representing the professional category.

The basic framework of the professional catalogue is set to three levels: discipline, specialty and specialty. The discipline setting is consistent with the disciplines in the Catalogue of Discipline for Degree Granting and Personnel Training.
