Fudan University Shanghai school of visual arts is a newly-built art undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education and an independent college of Fudan University. The school was founded by Fudan University, Shanghai Culture Radio and Television Group, Wen Hui Xinmin United Newspaper Group, Shanghai World Expo (Group) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Wen Jing Investment Co., Ltd., Shanghai Wen Jing Real Estate (Group) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Shenjiao Investment Co., Ltd. and Shanda Network Development Co., Ltd.

The school has six professional colleges, including Communication Design College, Space and Industrial Design College, Fashion Design College, Fine Arts College, Digital Media College and Performing Arts College, as well as an international art exchange center, a graphic information center and a training management center.
