The College has successively undertaken a number of scientific research projects such as the National "973", the National "863", the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Key R&D Plan, as well as a number of technical consultation and scientific research projects of major water conservancy and hydropower projects such as the Three Gorges Project and the South-to-North Water Transfer Project, and has achieved a number of original scientific and technological achievements, which has promoted the development of water conservancy and hydropower technology in China. Since 2006, * * * has won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award 14, including 5 first-completed units and 3 second-completed units. The first-completed unit won the first prize of provincial and ministerial science and technology award 14. Since 2000, more than 80 monographs and teaching materials have been published, including 3 national quality courses, 1 provincial quality courses and 3 Wuhan University quality courses. 200 1, 2005 and 2009 won the national teaching achievement award three times.
The College has established long-term cooperative relations with internationally renowned universities and research institutions such as Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, London Imperial College London, Oslo University and National University of Singapore.
