Yunnan University is located in the center of Kunming. Outside the main entrance of the school is Cuihu, next to the Army Wujiang Pavilion (I think there is nothing to see) and Kunming Zoo (Tong Yuan). Kunming Zoo is the best place to see cherry blossoms during the Spring Festival.

In fact, Dayun itself is a good scenic spot, and the Ginkgo Avenue in Dayun is very famous.
