Studying in the UK: Are British universities strict about student attendance?
It is understood that the latest attendance regulations stipulate that the attendance rate of all international students studying languages, preparatory courses, colleges and universities in the UK must reach 100%. Students who really need to be absent from work for special reasons can take the following measures to ensure their attendance: 1. If you are sick, call the school for leave directly. If you are sick for more than 4 days, provide the school doctor's certificate; 2. If there are very important matters (such as embassy or job interview) or urgent personal matters (such as family members being seriously ill or attending family funerals), it is best to obtain the consent of the school counselor or instructor first, and present relevant certificates.

The school will give a warning to students whose attendance rate does not reach 100% and cannot provide reasonable proof. If a student ignores the warning or is absent from school for more than 10 days, the school will send a letter to the British Immigration and Visa Administration and notify the student's family and intermediary. If the student's attendance rate is still not improved, the school will inform the British Immigration Visa Authority that once the situation is verified, the student visa will be invalidated immediately or refused in the next visa, and international students with serious circumstances will even be sent back to China.
