Southwest Jiaotong University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education. It is one of the first research universities with graduate schools, such as "Double First Class", "2 1 1 Project", "Special 985 Project" and "201Collaborative Innovation Plan". It is located in Chengdu, a famous historical and cultural city in China and a national central city.

The school is good at engineering, with 27 colleges (colleges and centers), 2 first-class national key disciplines such as traffic engineering and mechanical engineering, 2 national key disciplines such as vehicle engineering, bridge and tunnel engineering, 10, 18 first-class doctoral degree authorization points, 3 doctoral degree authorization categories and 4 1 1 first-class master.
