1. Teacher setup

As of June, 2008, there are 25 teaching colleges and 75 undergraduate majors. Among them, Ocean College, Maritime College and Food and Drug College are located in Meishan Campus of Ningbo University. Conservatory of Music, Pan Tianshou Institute of Architectural Art and Design and Teacher Education College are located in the west campus of Ningbo University. The Joint College of Angel University of Ningbo University/China Europe Tourism and Culture College is located in the Botanical Garden Campus of Ningbo University.

Other colleges are located in the main campus of Ningbo University. The North Campus of Ningbo University is used by College of Science and Technology of Ningbo University. 2065438+September 2009, Ningda Institute of Science and Technology moved to Cixi Campus of Ningbo University as a whole, and the north campus will be occupied by some colleges in the headquarters campus.

3. School motto

Seeking truth from facts, putting the world into practice, the word "seeking truth from facts" comes from Ban Gu's biography of the Han Dynasty, which means to make the past serve the present, seek truth from facts, explore the truth, grasp the law and be brave in innovation.

"Practicing the world" is a profound method of learning for the world put forward by Huang Zongxi of East Zhejiang School. Cheng Gang, secretary of the Party Committee of Ningbo University, believes that "seeking truth from facts, seeking truth and being pragmatic" has far-reaching implications and rich connotations, which embodies the regional cultural characteristics of Ningbo and the school-running philosophy and tradition of Ningda.

"Seeking truth from facts and running the world" was inscribed on 1988 by the famous calligrapher Mr. Sha Menghai, which had a great influence on teachers, students, alumni and all walks of life.

4. School emblem

The graphic symbol in the logo of "Ningbo University" is the architectural modeling of Nantianmen, which is a campus that adults are proud of. It represents the spirit of "tolerance, self-improvement, pragmatism, innovation and keeping pace with the times", which means that Ningbo University is moving towards the goal of building a first-class local comprehensive university in China.
