The College of Animal Science and Technology of Shihezi University is one of the newly established secondary colleges of Shihezi University. It has a long history and has experienced 45 years of evolution and development. The college, formerly known as the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Agricultural College of Xinjiang Corps, was founded in 1959 and later renamed as the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Shihezi Agricultural College in 1975. 1996 Shihezi Agricultural College merged with the colleges affiliated to the Corps to form Shihezi University, which was renamed the Animal Science Department of Shihezi University Agricultural College. 200 1 The school further deepened the reform of internal management system, separated the Department of Animal Science from the former Agricultural College of Shihezi University, and established the College of Animal Science and Technology.
