I. Brief Introduction of Liaocheng University

1, Liaocheng University, referred to as "Chat Big". Located in Liaocheng City, Shandong Province, it is a comprehensive university in Shandong Province. Selected into the "Excellent Agricultural and Forestry Talents Education and Training Plan" of the Ministry of Education, the first batch of famous universities with applied talents training characteristics in Shandong Province, the provincial doctoral program construction unit in Shandong Province, the member units of the Arctic University Alliance, the master's degree and bachelor's degree awarding units, and the universities with master's degree promotion and exemption qualifications.

The history of running a school can be traced back to 1902 Shandong University Teachers College. 1In August, 970, the organs of Shandong Normal University and eight departments of Chinese, history, foreign languages, mathematics, biology, physical education and art moved to Liaocheng to run a school. 1in April, 974, the organs and most departments of Shandong Normal University moved back to Jinan.

In March and June, 1974, 1 1, Shandong Provincial Committee formally approved the establishment of Shandong Normal University Liaocheng Branch. 1981July, with the approval of the State Council, Liaocheng Branch of Shandong Normal University was transformed into Liaocheng Normal College. In February 2002, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Liaocheng Teachers College was renamed Liaocheng University. In 20 12, the school was identified as the first batch of famous schools in Shandong province to train applied talents.

Second, the campus environment of Liaocheng University

1, Liaocheng University is divided into east and west campuses, which are located on Hunan Road and Huayuan Road respectively. In order to facilitate teachers and students and promote the sharing of resources between the two campuses, in 2005, the school built a bridge connecting the east and west campuses. The east-west length of Lianqiao is about 816m, and the west end crosses Huayuan Road, Ergan Canal and Tuhai River, reaching the north side of the East School office building.

2. The width of the bridge connecting the east and west campuses is 13m, in which the carriageway is 8m wide and the sidewalks on both sides are 2.5m wide. The continuous bridge is supported by 29 piers, of which 4 piers in Tuhai River are difficult to construct.

3. Connecting east and west campuses will also become a scenic spot project in Liaocheng. Pedestrian ladders shall be installed at Huayuan Road, Ergan Canal and Tu Hai River embankment where the bridge passes, and viewing platforms and decorative arches shall be installed at appropriate positions on the bridge. After the completion of the bridge, pedestrians can climb the bridge directly through the escalator and enjoy the beautiful scenery around them on the viewing platform.
