Anhui Medical University, referred to as "An Medical University", is located in Hefei, Anhui Province. It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the National Health and Wellness Commission and the People's Government of Anhui Province. Anhui Medical University was formerly a private Southeast Medical University founded by 1926 in Shanghai. 1930 was renamed Southeast Medical College, and 1949 moved to Huaiyuan, Anhui.
