2 National 2 1 1 project has been planned as "double first-class" construction.
Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up, China has successively launched four national strategic projects for the development of higher education, namely, national key institutions of higher learning, 21project, 985 project and "double first-class" strategy. 1995, the state officially launched the "2 1 1 project", that is, the 100 key institutions of higher learning and a number of key disciplines oriented to 2 1 century. National 2 1 1 key construction projects are planned as national "double first-class" construction; In the list of 20 1 1 "double-class" universities published by the state, all engineering universities were selected. Among them, Xinjiang University, Yunnan University, Zhengzhou University and other three universities have made outstanding performances, ranking among the B-class construction universities of world-class universities.
