Yunnan University Tourism and Culture College is an independent college founded in Lijiang in 2002 and confirmed by the Ministry of Education in 2004 to meet the needs of Yunnan University's continuous development of higher education reform, high-level tourism management and related professional training. The college is located in Lijiang, which enjoys the reputation of world historical and cultural heritage, world natural heritage and world memory heritage. It is the only undergraduate college in northwest Yunnan. The college covers an area of 800 mu with a total planned area of 200,000 square meters.
