Guangdong University of Finance and Economics was founded in 1983, formerly known as Guangdong University of Finance and Economics, with undergraduate education as the initial level; 1985 was renamed Guangdong university of finance and economics, 1997 passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment, was awarded the right to confer master's degree in 2003, passed the undergraduate teaching level assessment with "excellent" grade in 2008, was renamed Guangdong university of finance and economics on 20 13, and was approved as a doctoral degree awarding unit in 20021.
