Nanchang Institute of Technology is an ordinary undergraduate (two colleges) approved by the people of China and the Ministry of Education. Established in may 1999. The school is located at No.901Hero Avenue, National Economic and Technological Development Zone, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. The school was formerly known as Jiangxi Aerospace Science and Technology Vocational College. Approved by the Ministry of Education, it was upgraded to a private undergraduate university in 2005 and renamed Nanchang Institute of Technology.

Nanchang Institute of Technology covers an area of about 3,000 mu, of which the school building area is about 900,000 square meters. As of June 7, 2023, the total number of school teachers was 1747, and the number of full-time teachers was 1629. The school * * * has established 19 teaching colleges, including Communication College, Physical Education College, Computer Information Engineering College, Law School, Civil Engineering College and other colleges, covering 69 undergraduate majors.
