Which is better, the current graduate students or the past graduate students?
"I don't think there is a shortage of jobs, but people who are suitable for work ..." On March 7, Chen Lifen, deputy to the National People's Congress and chairman of Jiangsu Sunshine Group, detonated the meeting. Subsequently, Cui Xiangqun, a deputy to the National People's Congress and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was "furious": "There is no difference between the current graduate students and the former secondary school students and junior college students."

Miao Xiexing, vice president of China University of Mining and Technology, and Jin, vice president of Jiangnan University, said that the overall quality of college students has improved.

On students' quality

Graduate students are equivalent to secondary school students.

The overall quality is better than before.

Cui: Our company is also an employer. Generally speaking, the quality of graduates is declining. For example, some graduate students who come here will feel that their practical ability and theoretical foundation are not ideal.

I think this is the result of blind enrollment expansion. After the blind enrollment expansion, people don't believe in college students and undergraduates, but only believe in graduate students. And graduate students are no different from former secondary school students and junior college students.

Chen Lifen: First of all, my comprehensive ability is very poor. According to the truth, I should be able to take care of myself and get along with others after graduating from college. But now there are many contradictions between graduates and others. In specific work, the practical ability is poor. Others have poor pressure resistance and are unwilling to accept high working pressure.

Jin: Excellent talents will always be such a proportion. I think it's hard to say it's worse now.

I am the first batch of college students after the Cultural Revolution. At that time, the national enrollment was 200 thousand. There are 7.27 million, 7.27 million and 200,000 college graduates this year. There must be a difference. There are hundreds of thousands of graduate students every year, so the current graduate students should be similar to the undergraduates at that time. But I don't agree that the current graduate student is equivalent to a middle school student, so we can't make a simple analogy. I think the knowledge structure of graduates is definitely better than that of us at that time.

Miao Xiexing: The overall quality of college students is still improving, from generation to generation. We should evaluate people's quality from a more comprehensive perspective.

Nowadays, college graduates may have little ability to wash dishes, wash clothes and cope with life independently, and may have less spirit of hard work, but their computer information skills can be said to be definitely better, and their comprehensive ability is more comprehensive than in the past. His artistic and cultural abilities are certainly not too bad. He can play the piano, violin and classical music. This is also a good ability.

On the fever of postgraduate entrance examination

Blind postgraduate entrance examination is a waste of life.

This system raises the employment threshold.

Chen Lifen: Our enterprise needs talents with real skills, not necessarily highly educated. Nowadays, many graduates repeat their studies without passing the postgraduate entrance examination, and they don't look for a job after graduation for one year. This is a waste, a waste of life. Some people went to technical secondary school for two years after graduating from high school and earned 800 thousand in seven years. He spent 1.5 million on his undergraduate and master's degrees.

Cui: In developed countries, not everyone goes to study for a master's or doctor's degree after graduation.

Chen Lifen: Generally speaking, it seems that children must receive higher education. Only about 20% of students in Germany enter universities, and 80% of young people receive vocational education.

During the Spring Festival of 20 14, there were 35,000 jobs in 682 enterprises in Jiangyin, and only about 10000 people came to apply for jobs. At present, 90% of middle school students in China go to college, and only 10% go to technical school. A large number of college graduates are unwilling to work in the front line after graduation, or unable to settle down in the front line, with poor work tolerance and high expectations, resulting in a serious shortage of general workers and technicians.

It is suggested that the state cancel the enrollment of "three books" (referring to the third place in the batch and order of undergraduate college entrance examination) and classify this part of the plan into vocational education. In 20 12, the national "three books" enrolled about10.6 million students. If these students are changed into vocational education, the labor shortage in manufacturing industry will be alleviated to some extent.

Jin: Whether it is a master's student or a doctoral student, we expect that 20% to 30% of people are really suitable for research, so that we will feel worthwhile. Postgraduates also have a process of gradually knowing themselves, and gradually stratify talents during their doctoral and master's degrees.

Institutions, civil servants and state-owned enterprises set some thresholds, such as undergraduate or postgraduate education. Some state-owned enterprises don't care about their own benefits, whether human capital is wasted or not, and even regard how many masters and doctors there are as showing off capital. There are institutional problems.

On University Education

The responsibility for the employment gap lies with the university.

Enterprises are unwilling to spend money on training.

Chen Lifen: In our company, if I give him a monthly salary of 2,000 yuan, he is willing to study as an undergraduate. I can give a mechanic who graduated from technical secondary school 8000 yuan.

Cui: Nowadays, college graduates use less, and even undergraduates and college students come to work as workers. On the one hand, it is difficult to find a job, and supply exceeds demand. On the other hand, it does not meet the needs of society and vocational education is lacking.

Kim: Enterprises can't be quick and quick. Although there may be no significant difference in work efficiency between people who have studied in the university and those who have not studied in the same position, the potential and development behind it are definitely better for learning.

Miao Xiexing: The monthly salary of secondary school students is 8,000 yuan, and that of undergraduates is 2,000 yuan. This is not surprising. That position needs people with specialized skills, while the undergraduate course cultivates basic skills and comprehensive quality. Professional skills also need to be trained for a period of time. If undergraduates like this job and start at the same starting line, we undergraduates will not be bad.

Cui: The main responsibility for disconnecting the Internet lies with the school. Enterprises can cultivate directionally and combine production with learning. But school is a place to train people. You should take the initiative to work closely with enterprises, otherwise the people you train will be out of touch with society.

Chen Lifen: I also think it is a question of university education. Through comprehensive education such as scientific and technological quality and professional ethics, graduates can play their own value when they take up their posts.

Jin: The reason for the disconnection is that the enterprise has not fulfilled its job training responsibilities. Undergraduate education is a process of quality education, not skill education. Enterprises can't say that they can use it immediately by recruiting a college student. Foreign companies have a process of on-the-job training. In addition, there are also great problems in college practice. When we arrange internships for students, companies often say that they can't charge that much because it will interfere with production.
