Environmental engineering is a rapidly developing frontier comprehensive discipline. The main task is to study the technical principles and methods of pollution prevention and control, and to apply and develop engineering technologies and equipment to improve environmental quality. Environmental protection specialty is one of the new economic growth points in China and even the world. This major trains senior engineering and technical talents or research-oriented talents engaged in environmental engineering, so that they have a solid theoretical foundation in the field of environmental engineering, the basic ability to design and develop environmental engineering processes and facilities, the basic knowledge and skills of environmental quality evaluation and environmental monitoring, and a strong computer and foreign language application level. This major pays special attention to cultivating students' cooperative spirit and self-study ability. Combining the social demand for talents and students' interests, we will gradually guide senior students to divert to the environment related to science, engineering, agriculture and medicine, that is, set up a series of courses in five directions, such as solid waste treatment and recycling, water pollution control engineering, environmental protection equipment, environmental biochemistry and environmental medicine, to guide students to choose and develop independently.
Water supply and drainage works
Water is the blood of the city, and aquaculture is the sunshine industry in 2 1 century. This major trains senior engineering and technical personnel in urban water engineering and aquaculture planning, design, management and technical development. Engaged in business work includes: design of waterworks and high-quality drinking water equipment, design of sewage purification plants and water treatment environmental protection equipment, urban water environment planning, water features and high-rise building equipment engineering design, water supply and drainage and reclaimed water design of cities and residential quarters, etc. To this end, students will acquire the following comprehensive abilities through study:
(1) master the professional knowledge of water resources development and utilization, water quality engineering principle and calculation, urban water supply and drainage pipeline system, building water supply and drainage engineering, etc.
(2) master the comprehensive knowledge of water industry equipment, electrical and automation instruments, water engineering structure and construction, water engineering technology and economy;
(3) the application ability of new technologies such as computer culture foundation, CAD drawing, professional software programming and GIS development;
(4) Understand the theoretical frontier and development trends of water industry discipline, and have preliminary scientific research ability.
Architectural Environment & Equipment Engineering
This major trains senior engineering and technical personnel in the fields of building environment and equipment engineering and urban public facilities engineering, and is mainly engaged in the design, research and development, system debugging and operation management of system engineering such as air conditioning engineering, heating engineering, ventilation and purification technology, urban gas engineering and automatic control of building equipment.
