University of South China is neither 2 1 1 nor 985.

University of South China is a comprehensive university jointly established by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the National Health and Wellness Commission, the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, China National Nuclear Corporation and the Hunan Provincial People's Government. It is a university supported by the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions of the country, an outstanding engineer and excellent doctor education and training plan approved by the Ministry of Education, and a number of undergraduate enrollment institutions.

The school has two campuses, Hongxiang and Yumu. There are 27 directly affiliated colleges, 6 directly affiliated hospitals, cooperative affiliated hospitals 1 1, and 23 cooperative postgraduate training units. There are 67 undergraduate majors, 24 master's degree authorization points for first-level disciplines, and 19 master's degree authorization categories. It has formed a discipline professional system with engineering and medicine as the mainstay, and nine disciplines, including philosophy, economics, law, literature, science, management and art, have developed in a coordinated manner.

Teaching construction

1. National major: nuclear engineering and technology, clinical medicine, business administration, preventive medicine, mineral resources engineering, water supply and drainage engineering.

2. National defense major: nuclear engineering and technology.

3. National defense shortage majors: nuclear technology, nuclear chemical industry and nuclear fuel engineering.

4. National management majors: nuclear engineering and technology, electrical engineering and automation, business administration, override equipment and control engineering, and mineral resources engineering.
