Yangtze University is the largest and most comprehensive comprehensive university in Hubei Province. It is a key construction university in Hubei Province. It is one of the national "Basic Capacity Building Projects of Colleges and Universities in the Midwest".

It is a university jointly established by Hubei Provincial People's Government, China Petroleum and Natural Gas Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation, China Offshore Oil Corporation, Hubei Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Agriculture.

The campus covers an area of 4,742 mu, with a construction area of 900,000 square meters and fixed assets of 65.438+77 billion yuan. There are 108 national, provincial and ministerial laboratories and experimental centers.
