Ways to improve college students' self-awareness

(A) a correct understanding of self

A correct understanding of self is the basis of cultivating and perfecting self-awareness. And people's self-knowledge can be divided into two aspects, on the one hand, self-determination, that is, their own personality, specialties, interests, hobbies, family influence on themselves, personality weaknesses and so on. If a person can fully and correctly understand himself and objectively and accurately evaluate himself, he can do what he can, make unremitting efforts to establish a suitable ideal self and realize it. On the other hand, it is self-reflection, which is a lifelong process. Regular self-reflection is the premise of progress, so as not to be self-righteous. As mentioned above, there are three main ways to know yourself-experience method, comparison method and reflection method. In addition, college students should strive to broaden their life scope, increase their life experience, expand their communication space, actively participate in activities and expand their social practice, so as to find a variety of reference systems and use these reference systems to understand themselves from all angles. We should also learn to analyze, synthesize and compare the information about ourselves obtained through various channels, and comprehensively evaluate ourselves realistically. We should learn to look at ourselves and others with a developmental vision and dialectical method. The broader the comparison horizon, the more scientific the method, and the more appropriate the self-orientation, so as to give full play to one's intelligence and realize one's life value.

(2) Treat yourself objectively

1, actively accept yourself

Accepting yourself is accepting yourself happily and satisfactorily, that is, accepting yourself. Accepting oneself is the core and key to cultivate a sound self-awareness and the premise to adapt to society. Accepting oneself does not depend on one's wealth, status and living conditions, but more on one's psychological state. A person who accepts himself can be accepted by others. Such people accept everything about themselves with a positive attitude. They are optimistic and open-minded about life, can rationally look at their own advantages and disadvantages, calmly treat their gains and losses, can look at themselves from a developmental perspective, do not shy away from their current situation, and even deny themselves with sadness, regret and even disgust. Only in this way can we cultivate self-confidence, self-reliance, self-improvement, autonomy and good self-awareness and become a strong person in life.

Step 2 control yourself

Self-control is the fundamental way to improve self-awareness and self-perfection, the process of actively and directionally transforming oneself, and the process of concretizing the individual's attitude towards himself. Therefore, college students should face the reality, proceed from reality, eliminate all kinds of interference and make a reasonable orientation in the process of transforming their real selves into their ideal selves. And in the process of continuous self-monitoring, self-presentation, self-correction and self-adjustment, we strive to cultivate our good will quality, so as to achieve effective self-control and finally realize our ideal self.
