South China Normal University is not a 985 school, but a 2 1 1 school. 1933 Mr. Lin, the head of the school and vice minister of the Central Ministry of Education, founded the predecessor of South China Normal University, Guangdong Liqiqin University Teachers College, and served as the dean for many years. The college later developed into an independent Guangdong University of Arts and Sciences, and together with National Sun Yat-sen University, became the two highest universities in Guangdong at that time. 195 1 year, Sun Yat-sen University Teachers College, South China United University Education Department and Guangdong University of Arts and Sciences merged to form South China Teachers College. From 65438 to 0952, the departments of colleges and universities in China were adjusted, and the departments of education of Lingnan University, Russian Department of Southern University and related departments of several universities in Central and South China were merged one after another. 65438-0978, the school was identified as a key university in Guangdong Province.
