Shanghai Maritime University:

The school was originally a university directly under the Ministry of Transport, and was placed under the management of Shanghai in 2000. In 2008, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the Ministry of Transport signed an agreement to establish Shanghai Maritime University.

Dalian Maritime University:

It is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Transport, a national "2 1 1 project" key construction university and a national "double-class" construction university, which is jointly established by the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Education, the former State Oceanic Administration, the Liaoning Provincial People's Government and the Dalian Municipal People's Government.

Shanghai Maritime University:

The school was established in July, 1909. It was the Department of Shipping Administration of Shanghai Higher Technical School of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications in the late Qing Dynasty that initiated the higher maritime education in China. It has experienced such periods as Advanced Merchant Shipping School of Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, Wusong Merchant Shipping School, Wusong Merchant Shipping College of Ministry of Communications, Chongqing Merchant Shipping College, National Wusong Merchant Shipping College and Shanghai Maritime College. From 65438 to 0959, the Ministry of Communications established Shanghai Maritime College, which was renamed Shanghai Maritime University with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2004.

Dalian Maritime University:

Dalian Maritime University was founded in 1909, which originated from the shipping management department of Shanghai Higher Institute of Technology, Department of Postal Communication. It was formed by the merger of only three maritime colleges in China during the 40 years from the late Qing Dynasty to the founding of New China. 65438-0953, Dalian Maritime College was established by the merger of Northeast Maritime College, Shanghai Maritime College and Fujian Maritime College. 1994, Dalian Maritime College was renamed Dalian Maritime University.
