Shandong Vocational College of Chemical Technology was formerly a radio and television university founded by Qilu Petrochemical Company 1978 and a staff university established by 1985. Approved by Shandong Provincial People's Government in May 2003. It is a full-time comprehensive college in Zibo, which was registered by the Ministry of Education and founded by Qilu Petrochemical Company of China Petrochemical Group. It is under the dual leadership of Shandong Provincial Department of Education and Qilu Petrochemical Company. 20 17 moved to Weifang Binhai National Vocational Education Zone.

Shandong Institute of Chemical Technology was founded in 1978. Its predecessor was Qilu Petrochemical Company Staff University, Radio and Television University and Technical School. In May, 2003, approved by Shandong Provincial People's Government, put on record by the Ministry of Education, founded by Qilu Petrochemical Company of China Petrochemical Group, and led by Shandong Provincial Education Department, it is a provincial public full-time comprehensive college. The college covers an area of 460 mu, with a building area, fixed assets of more than 53 million yuan and a collection of 6,543,800 books. It has a complete teaching, experimental training, living and sports venues. The college gives full play to the advantages of central enterprises in running schools, and uses the stable funding guarantee of enterprises to build teaching facilities with advanced technology and complete functions. There are 7 multimedia teaching halls, 10 network classrooms, 2 electronic reading rooms and more than 700 teaching computers. The college has six student dormitories and three student canteens, which are clean and bright, well-equipped and collectively heated. The college is located in Linzi, the ancient capital of Qi. The college is divided into two campuses, north and south. The south campus is located in the 720,000-ton ethylene production base of Qilu Petrochemical Company, which provides convenient conditions for students' practical training.
