Shandong Institute of Chemical Technology was founded in 1978. Its predecessor was Qilu Petrochemical Company Staff University, Radio and Television University and Technical School. In May, 2003, approved by Shandong Provincial People's Government, put on record by the Ministry of Education, founded by Qilu Petrochemical Company of China Petrochemical Group, and led by Shandong Provincial Education Department, it is a provincial public full-time comprehensive college.
