General Physics (fifth edition) edited by Cheng and Chen has been favored by teachers and students since it was published in 1998. Some readers also put forward many valuable opinions and placed ardent expectations on them, which greatly encouraged and excited the editors. In order to thank readers for their love, the editor decided to compile a concise course of college physics on the basis of the fifth edition, by deleting complex and simplifying, highlighting key points and strengthening methods. The editor hopes that this course is easy to learn and can play a greater role in the teaching practice of college physics. As a frontier discipline of natural science, the foundation and importance of physics are well known. However, if readers want to learn something and are willing to learn, they can't do without a good textbook, especially one that is concise and easy to understand, teaching and learning. The editor made a comprehensive study on the conciseness of the fifth edition. On the premise of keeping the style, characteristics and style of the original book, it is considered that all parts of physics should not be cut across the board when simplifying.
So the concise tutorial is an improved version.
