Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, founded in 1954, is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning of Chinese medicine in China. It is a university founded by Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and state administration of traditional chinese medicine. In 20 17, the school was selected as a national "double-first-class" construction university and a high-level university construction university in Jiangsu Province, and in 20 18, it became a "double-first-class" construction university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and Jiangsu Province.
The school is located in Nanjing, the ancient capital of Yu Xiu, Zhong Ling, with three campuses: Xianlin, Hanzhongmen and Taizhou. At present, there are more than 20,000 students of all kinds and 33 undergraduate majors, involving six disciplines: medicine, management, science, engineering, economics and literature, forming a school-running pattern with Chinese medicine as the main body, integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine and coordinated development with multidisciplinary support.
Scientific research achievements:
In recent years, the total number of national major scientific and technological projects, national natural science funds and national social science funds undertaken by the school ranks among the top universities of traditional Chinese medicine in China, and it has successively won 3 second prizes for national scientific and technological progress, 5 second prizes for national technological invention award 1 and 5 first prizes for provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological awards.
