Weight is an essential weapon to evaluate everything, and we usually use weighted scores in the ranking of grades. Grade point is the calculation method of grades when going abroad; Grade point is a calculation method designed by European and American countries to directly reflect students' grades. However, the calculation method of GPA in different schools is different.
The weighted average score is to multiply the score of each subject by the corresponding credits of the subject, then add them all up and divide them by the total credits. The formula is weighted average score =50+ 10* grade point = the sum of the products of grades of all subjects and corresponding credits/total credits.
Some universities require students to complete the minimum academic performance of compulsory courses and elective courses specified in the professional teaching plan during their stay in school, and they must complete it every semester. If they don't, they will get a performance warning. The general calculation method of minimum credits per semester is: minimum credits per semester = total credits /2× (standard academic system +2).
At the same time, the credits of each semester shall generally not exceed the maximum credits stipulated in the professional teaching plan. If there is over-election after examination and approval, the over-election fee will be charged according to relevant regulations. The general calculation method of maximum credits per semester is: maximum credits per semester = total credits /2× (standard academic system-1).
The calculation of GPA is to multiply the GPA of each course (including repeated courses) taken by students by the credits of the course, and then divide it by the accumulated total credits. The GPA can be used as one of the comprehensive evaluation indexes of students' learning ability and quality. It can be easily linked with American GPA system. China undergraduates who want to study abroad should take it seriously.
The general calculation methods of most universities in China are: GPA = score/10-5, creditgpa = credit× GPA = credit× (score/10-5).
