Henan University, referred to as "Heda University" for short, is a university jointly founded by the people's government of Henan Province, the people of China and the Ministry of Education. It is a national "double-class" university, and has been selected into the national "11plan", the basic capacity building project of central and western universities, the excellent doctoral education and training plan, and the excellent legal talent plan.

19 12 Lin and other Henan educators founded Henan Preparatory School for Studying in Europe and America on the site of Kaifeng in Qing Dynasty. 1923, General Feng Yuxiang expanded it into Zhongzhou University. 1930 was named Henan University for the first time; 1942 was changed to National Henan University with the support of Mr. Yu Youren and others; Chung Yuan Christian University was established in 65438-0948 with the support of Deng Xiaoping and Chen Yi. 1984 Restore the name of Henan University. In 2022, the registered place of Henan University was changed from Kaifeng to Zhengzhou.
