Introduction of key universities in Henan:

1, Zhengzhou University:

Zhengzhou University, whose main campus is located in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Henan Province. It is a national "double first-class" construction university, "2 1 1 project" and "one province, one school" construction university.

Medical education in Zhengzhou University originated from Sun Yat-sen University in Henan in 1928, and Henan Medical College was established independently in 1952, which opened the precedent of medical higher education in Henan. The former Zhengzhou University, founded in 1956, is the first comprehensive university founded in New China. The 1 1 project is listed in the national "2 1996 project". Zhengzhou University of Technology, founded in 1963, is a key university directly under the former Ministry of Chemical Industry. In July 2000, the former Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou University of Technology and Henan Medical University merged to form the new Zhengzhou University.

2. Henan University:

Henan University, referred to as "Heda University" for short, is a national "double-class" university jointly established by the people's government of Henan Province, the people of China and the Ministry of Education.

By June 2022, the school has more than 4,600 teaching and administrative staff, including 22 full-time and part-time academicians and members of the department, and 59 Changjiang scholars, national Jieqing and leading talents of the "Ten Thousand Talents Program".
