The entrance examination for overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan is called "the entrance examination for overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students jointly recruited by China people and China universities". Requirements for entrance examination for overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan:

1. Overseas Chinese candidates, candidates themselves and one of their parents must obtain long-term or permanent residency in the country of residence, and have lived in the country of residence for two consecutive years, with a cumulative residence of not less than 18 months in two years.

2. Candidates who have not obtained the long-term or permanent residency in the host country, but have obtained the legal residency in the host country for more than five consecutive years (including five years) and have lived in the host country for not less than 30 months within five years may also participate in the registration.

3, China citizens studying abroad (including public and at their own expense), or going abroad on business (including expatriate laborers) while working outside, are not regarded as overseas Chinese.
