Jinshan College of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University is an independent undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. The College implements the dean responsibility system under the leadership of the board of directors, with Professor Zheng Jingui, winner of the National Technological Invention Award, winner of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, expert with outstanding national contributions, expert with special allowance from the State Council, member of the Standing Committee of Fujian Provincial People's Congress, president of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, chairman of the degree committee and doctoral supervisor as the chairman, and Professor Hong Wei, executive vice president of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, expert with outstanding national contributions, expert with special allowance from the State Council and doctoral supervisor as the dean.

Jinshan College relies on the quality education resources of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University is a key construction university in Fujian Province with a history of 77 years. It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Fujian Provincial Government, and jointly established by the State Forestry Administration and the Fujian Provincial Government. It is the first batch of national master's degree awarding units and the second batch of national doctor's degree awarding units, and it is an international student institution that accepts scholarships from the government of China. The school's predecessor was the Agricultural College of Fujian Christian University founded in 1936 and Fujian Provincial Agricultural College founded in 1940. Since the school was founded, it has formed the motto of "Ming De, Cheng Zhi, erudition and innovation", and persisted in pursuing the spiritual realm of "respecting teachers, valuing morality and learning from others".

Jinshan College has a short school time and a young faculty. Based on the dominant disciplines of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, the specialty was first enrolled in 2006, with nearly 9,000 undergraduates.

Open 18 undergraduate majors, including business administration, international economy and trade, administrative management, tourism management, electronic science and technology, electronic information engineering, computer science and technology, electrical engineering and its automation, mechanical design and manufacturing and its automation, civil engineering, engineering management, English, human resource management, plant protection, food quality and safety, food science and engineering, advertising and art design.

There are more than 100 full-time teachers with master's degree or above and lecturer's title or above. Due to the poor hardware facilities of Jinshan College, many facilities can only be used with Agriculture and Forestry University, and the college will gradually improve in the future. Dormitories are separated from agriculture and forestry universities. After graduation, students will be awarded the diploma of Jinshan College of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, and those who meet the requirements will be awarded the bachelor's degree of Jinshan College of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University.
