By making full use of the advantages of tropical and subtropical biological resources, the College has made many important theoretical and applied achievements in aquaculture, agriculture, biomedicine, ecological environment and other fields. In the past five years, he has presided over 72 national scientific research projects1,with funding of more than 200 million yuan, including 55 "863" and "973" projects and10 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation (including 4 key projects and 4 national outstanding youth funds); Won more than 20 provincial and ministerial awards, applied for patents 180, and granted 58 patents. More than 40 monographs (including textbooks) and more than 2,000 papers have been published. The number of SCI papers has increased year by year, and the quality has improved significantly. In 2005, the number of SCI papers published by our college has reached 158, and the total number of impact factors has reached 382.76, with an average of 2.42, ranking among the top universities in China.
