Hubei Police College is located in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province. It is one of the first provincial public security undergraduate colleges established in China and the only provincial public security political and legal undergraduate college in Hubei Province. Its predecessor can be traced back to 1949, the "Training Course for Cadres of the Public Security Department of Hubei Provincial People's Government". In March 2002, Hubei Police Officer College was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education to carry out undergraduate education in public security.
