Since 1988, The Department of Medicine of National Taiwan University has successively cooperated with Harvard University, Rochester University, University of Southern California, Ohio State University, Northwestern University, Temple University, Ryukyu University Medical College of Japan, Sao Paulo University Medical College of Brazil, Prince Songkhla University Medical College of Thailand, Jianguo University of Korea, Academic Medical Center of Amsterdam University of the Netherlands, Peking University Institute of Sports Medicine, Temple University Medical College of the United States, and Yang Luling Medical College of National University of Singapore. Graz Medical University, Shuntian University in Japan and Yamaguchi University School of Medicine in Japan signed an academic cooperation agreement, and both sides agreed to send medical students and teachers to participate in clinical training courses and teaching observation. Since 2000, the Doctor Huang Medical Education Promotion Foundation has provided a place for medical students to go to Duke Medical Center for clinical training every year. Over the years, more than 100 medical students in our department have been sent to overseas schools for clinical training, and about 100 foreign medical students come to our hospital for clinical training every year. During the five years from 1996 to 2000, the department sent a group of young doctors to study clinical teaching in the American medical college every year, totaling more than 30 people. These doctors became seed teachers after returning to China, and promoting small class discussion in our hospital is of great help to improve the quality of medical education and clinical teaching methods in our hospital. In addition, foreign experts and scholars are invited to visit from time to time, or engage in clinical teaching, technical guidance or give special lectures.

The Department of Dentistry has signed academic cooperation agreements with Columbia University School of Dentistry, Tokyo Medical University School of Dentistry and University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry. Every summer vacation, students are recommended to Columbia University, University of Michigan, University of Southern California, Tokyo University of Medical Dentistry, and University of Munich, Germany. At the same time, it also accepts dental students, such as the University of Sydney, Australia, the University of Otago, New Zealand, Boston University, Columbia University, Manchester University, King's College London, etc. In addition, international academic seminars are held from time to time, foreign experts and scholars are invited to give special lectures, and teachers are sent to study abroad to promote international exchanges and improve the level of oral education.

Nursing departments and research institutes also actively carry out some international cooperation projects. At present, they have signed academic cooperation agreements with the Washington College of Nursing in Seattle, the Department of Nursing in Ramadi Bodi Hospital of Mahidol University in Thailand, and Nethersole College of Nursing in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and exchanged visits and academic cooperation with nursing schools of unsigned universities such as the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Michigan and the University of Arizona, and even asked doctoral students to study abroad. In recent years, the department has also hosted or co-sponsored national or international academic seminars, which were hosted by teachers of the department or invited famous scholars at home and abroad to participate. In addition, he also actively participated in and attended the "East Asia Nursing Education Scholars Forum" to promote nursing education, research and service and promote its internationalization.

Teachers and students of physiotherapy departments and institutes actively participate in international exchange activities: since 1999, there have been 13 students of physiotherapy departments of Melbourne University and Queensland University in Australia who have received clinical internships in the affiliated hospitals of our hospital, and two master students have gone to the University of Oklahoma in the United States and the University of Tokyo in Japan as exchange students respectively, and signed an academic cooperation agreement with the Department of Rehabilitation of Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2007. In 2005, the Institute invited Dr. Xu Xiaoqin, Associate Professor of the Department of Children and Family Development of the University of Georgia, USA, as a visiting associate professor for one year. In 2007, Dr. Janice Eng, Department of Rehabilitation, University of British Columbia, Canada, was invited as a visiting professor for half a year. In addition, since 2003, the Ministry has actively held international seminars, including a series of sports science seminars for the elderly and a seminar on the new trend of physical therapy in the 2 1 century. At present, the department is actively seeking opportunities for academic cooperation and exchanges with physiotherapy departments in universities such as the United States and Canada.
