Brief introduction of Li Daoyuan
Li Daoyuan (466 or 472-527), a native of Zhuoxian County, Fanyang County (now Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province), was a geographer and essayist in the Northern Wei Dynasty. He used to be the secretariat of East Jingzhou and was dismissed for offending powerful people. Ten years later, the court resumed the role of He Nanyin. In the first year of Xiaochang in Ming Di, he led an army to Pengcheng to discuss the rebellion of monks in Pingyuan, and was promoted to the position of assistant general of suggestion.

Because of impeaching King Runan, Yuan Yue took the opportunity to ask the court to send Li Daoyuan when Xiao Baokui, the secretariat of Yongzhou, wanted to rebel against the Northern Wei Dynasty. Li Daoyuan was killed by Xiao Baokui when he entered the customs. He is the author of the famous literary, historical and geographical masterpiece Water Mirror.

Li Daoyuan devoted himself to reading and writing all his life. Volume 89 of Shu Wei says that "Taoyuan is eager to learn and read wonderful books", and its masterpiece is Notes on Water Classics. Tao Yuanming writes landscape figures with exquisite writing style. "One word in a sentence is wonderful in ancient and modern times." . Zhu's research has always been called "research".

The poems of Li Bai and Du Fu in the Tang Dynasty absorbed Zhu's artistic nutrition, and Liu Zongyuan's Eight Chapters of Yongzhou was actually born out of Zhu. Su Shi in Song Dynasty said, "Why am I so happy? I have also read Water Mirror many times. " Zhang Dai said: "The ancients remembered mountains and rivers. There was Li Daoyuan in the world, followed by Liu Zihou, and Yuan Zhonglang in modern times."

Liu Xizai added: "Li Daoyuan has beautiful landscape, deep and clean, and has the scenery of' Shan Gui' and' attracting hermits'. Liuzhou travel notes are also pioneers. Japanese geographer Mi Kurajiro called Li Daoyuan "the greatest geographer in the middle ages." Local Records and Seven Covenants have not been circulated so far.
