Nanjing Forestry University is a provincial-level key university jointly established by the central and local governments, and was selected into the national list of "double first-class" universities in 20 17. The school was formerly the Forestry Department of Central University (founded in 1902) and the Forestry Department of Jinling University (founded in 19 10), and Nanjing Forestry College was merged in 1952, which was one of the only three forestry colleges in China at that time.
1955 Huazhong agricultural college (formed by the merger of Wuhan university, Nanchang university and Hubei agricultural college) was merged with the forestry department, and 1972 was renamed Nanjing forestry industry institute. 1983 restored the name of Nanjing Forestry College, and 1985 changed its name to Nanjing Forestry University. ?
There are 74 undergraduate majors in the school, including 6 national professional construction sites, 6 provincial brand majors 16, and 4 brand majors in Jiangsu universities. National experimental area 1 each, provincial experimental base 1 each, national excellent teaching team 1 each, 2 provincial excellent teaching teams and 4 provincial excellent scientific and technological innovation teams.
