Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, referred to as "Zhejiang Institute of Technology", is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. It is a provincial key construction university with coordinated development of science, engineering, literature, economics, management, law, art and education.

The history of the school can be traced back to 1897, when Qi Lin, the magistrate of Hangzhou, founded Zhejiang Silkworm College, saving the country through industry and education. It is one of the earliest new educational institutions in China. 1908 was upgraded to Zhejiang higher sericulture school with the approval of the Qing government. From the Revolution of 1911 to the eve of liberation, the school changed its name several times and insisted on running the school.
Undergraduate enrollment 1959, Zhejiang Silk Vocational and Technical College 1964 was named by the State Council, master enrollment 1979, master's degree awarded 1983. 1999, approved by the Ministry of Education, the school was renamed Zhejiang Institute of Engineering.
In 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was renamed Zhejiang Sci-Tech University. In 2006, he was awarded a doctorate.
