Peking Union Medical College is the only national key medical college directly under the National Health and Wellness Committee, which implements the management system of combining universities with the Academy of Medical Sciences.
The school was formerly known as Concord Medical College, founded by Anglo-American Christian Church in the 32nd year of Guangxu (1906). In the first year of the Republic of China (19 12), it was renamed Union Medical College. 19 19 was renamed Peking union medical college.
1929 changed its name to private Peking Union Medical College. After the liberation of Beiping in June 1949+0, Union Medical College continued to run schools. 195 1 1 In June, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health of the Central People's Government took over the Union Medical College and renamed it the National Union Medical College of China.
Later, it was renamed China Medical University, Capital Medical University and Peking Union Medical College. In 2006, it was named Peking Union Medical College (Tsinghua University Medical Department).
2. Peking University Health Science Center
Formerly known as National Beijing Medical College, it was founded in 19 12 10.26. It is the first national school run by the Ministry of Education of China Government to teach western medicine by relying on China's own strength.
On April 3rd, 2000, the former Beijing Medical University and Peking University formally merged to form a new Peking University. On May 4th, 2000, Beijing Medical University officially changed its name to peking university health science center. Member units of Beijing University Alliance for Training Excellent Medical Talents.
3. Southern Medical University
As the first military medical university of China People's Liberation Army, it was founded in 195 1, 1979 and was identified as a national key university. In August 2004, it was transferred to Guangdong Province as a whole and renamed Southern Medical University.
The only medical college in the key construction universities of high-level universities in Guangdong Province, the first batch of universities in China, and the only one in Guangdong Province, which was jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the National Health and Wellness Commission and Guangdong Province, was one of the first eight universities to offer eight-year undergraduate and postgraduate courses in clinical medicine.
The first batch of pilot universities of excellent doctor education and training program, the only independent medical college in China offering eight-year medical education, and the scholarship receiving institution of China government for international students in China were selected into the national "11plan" and "key disciplines with characteristics".
The national postgraduate project of building a high-level university, Guangdong "2 1 1 project", the national demonstration base of innovative talents training, the national international scientific and technological cooperation base, and the member of CDIO engineering education alliance.
4. Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University
Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University was founded on 1927. When it was founded, it was named National Fourth Sun Yat-sen University Medical College. It is the first national university medical school founded by China.
1928 was renamed as National Central University Medical College in May, and 1932 became the only national medical college in China in May. 1939, after the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, the college moved to Kunming, Yunnan.
1940 moved to Chongqing, Sichuan. 1946, after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the college moved back to Shanghai. 1952, renamed Shanghai First Medical College. 1959 was designated as one of the national 16 key institutions of higher learning. 1985, renamed Shanghai Medical University.
5. Zhongshan School of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University
Located in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, it is a secondary college affiliated to Sun Yat-sen University, and one of the first medical colleges in colleges and universities established by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health.
Zhongshan Medical College of Sun Yat-sen University was formerly known as Ji Bo yiguang founded by 1866, Guangdong Guanghua yiguang founded by 1908, and Guangdong Public yiguang founded by 1909.
1953 and 1954 merged to form South China Medical College; 1956, renamed Guangzhou medical college; 1957, renamed Zhongshan medical college; 1985, renamed as Zhongshan medical university; 200 1, 10, the former Sun Yat-sen University and Sun Yat-sen Medical University merged into the new Sun Yat-sen University, and Sun Yat-sen Medical College of Sun Yat-sen University was established.
