Southwest University is a key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Chongqing Municipality. It is the first batch of "world-class discipline construction universities", the national "21project" and "985 engineering advantage discipline innovation platform", and the member universities of "double first-class" agricultural alliance.

Schools pay attention to give full play to their own advantages, serve the national strategy and local economic and social development, and actively carry out school-land cooperation, designated poverty alleviation and counterpart support. Adhering to the principle of "based in Chongqing, facing southwest and serving the whole country", we have established strategic cooperative relations with 73 cities and counties in Chongqing, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Jiangsu and Shandong.
We have established close cooperative relations with 54 domestic large and medium-sized enterprises in Industry-University-Research, and carried out effective project cooperation with more than 800 administrative institutions and more than 900 enterprises in 2/kloc-0 provinces and cities, and achieved remarkable economic and social benefits.
