In May 2002, the School of Modern Science and Technology of Taiyuan University of Technology was formally approved by the Shanxi Provincial People's Government for evaluation, with Qianfeng Campus as the main campus. At the same time, opening Changfeng Campus as the new main campus has truly realized the independent operation and management system of the college. In July 2009, the College Youth League Committee became the direct contact point of the Central School Department of the Youth League Committee.
