The learning department is the department in charge of students' learning in the Youth League Committee and the Student Union. Its main job is to collect and reflect the problems that students encounter in their study, and solve these problems in time by holding lectures, knowledge contests and other colorful activities. According to the guidance of teachers and the actual needs of students, we will carry out a series of activities with clear meaning, distinctive themes, novel methods, strong operability and healthy content, and create a good learning atmosphere, thus promoting the construction of academic atmosphere in colleges and schools. Next semester, under the leadership of teachers and the new Presidium of the Student Union, we will try our best to do all the work well.

After recent exchanges and discussions, members of our department have preliminarily drawn up the following points for this semester:

First, directional work.

The new semester is coming, and a group of new students will be ushered in. They just passed the dark June and walked into the university gate. Everything is new to them, so it is naturally important to do a good job in welcoming the new. Within a few days of welcoming new students in our Information Engineering College, the learning department will obey the arrangement and transfer of the college, adjust the time and personnel reasonably, minimize the conflict between the working hours of the staff and the normal class hours, and ensure the correctness of study and work. During the period, it is required to be responsible for people, be in place on time, strictly observe their posts during working hours, and provide warm and thoughtful quality services for freshmen and parents. Show the students' cadres in our college to be conscientious, proactive and serve their classmates wholeheartedly, and establish a good image of our college students.

Second, recruit new employees and establish departments.

After the orientation work, the learning department will carry out the recruitment work of our department on time and point by point according to the unified arrangement of the college. On the basis of inheriting the fine traditions of the past, this recruitment work is based on selecting people with high comprehensive quality. The principle of outstanding students with outstanding ability, complete this recruitment work in a fair and just way, and lay a good foundation for the future development of the learning department. The specific content is divided into the following points:

1, preliminary preparation

(1) Do a good job in recruiting new recruits; (2) Obtain relevant information about recruiting new employees; (3) Hold an internal meeting and assign work (site layout, determine shift time and personnel, and notify and contact later).

2. On-site work

By filling in the form and answering simple questions, we can master the basic information of our classmates, pave the way for recruiting new students, and answer all kinds of questions raised by our classmates enthusiastically and in detail.

Step 3 interview

The interview process is divided into two parts: written and oral. Written test: five to ten minutes to write the study and study department. Oral test: By asking and answering questions, we can examine freshmen's own ability, initiative and attitude towards work.

Make records as one of the basis for selection.

12 new officers who meet the standards shall be selected on the basis of merit.

4. Post-work

After the interview, report the recruitment situation in time and make a contact list to facilitate work and study. Adjust the time reasonably, organize the study of the relevant regulations of the Student Union, and require strengthening the study of common styles (such as planning books and summary books). Establish a regular meeting system, strengthen departmental management, and promote better and faster development of ministries and commissions.

Considering the importance of streamlining the department and establishing the mass base among freshmen, our department will make every effort to train the study committee members of each class as a part of the student union. Establish a regular meeting system for all learning members, hand over the corresponding work of the department in the class to the learning members, and allow some personnel to participate in the related work of the department. Cultivate their working ability and establish relationships with each other.

And take this opportunity to select a group of outstanding freshmen.

2. "Freshman Cup" Debate Competition

Purpose and significance: Debate is an activity that can improve thinking ability, enrich extracurricular knowledge, cultivate team spirit and exercise thinking expression. Carrying out this activity can make students better integrate into university life, improve their self-confidence, and cultivate their innovative spirit and team spirit. Therefore, it is hoped that through this competition, students' extracurricular life will be enriched, the university atmosphere will be enlivened, students' ideas will be developed, students' thinking ability will be improved, students' innovative spirit will be cultivated, and the feelings and tacit understanding between classes and students will be increased. Reflect the mental state of college students in their prime, improve students' debating level, and tap and cultivate debating talents in the Institute of Information Engineering of Science and Technology.

3. Lecture on CET-4 and CET-6.

Purpose and significance of the activity: CET-4 and CET-6 are an important part of students' college study and life. In order to make students get good grades in CET-4 and CET-6, well-known English lecturers such as New Oriental can be invited to explain the preparation and examination skills of CET-4 and CET-6, so that students can be more fully prepared and more confident to take the exam and get good grades.

This activity will be jointly carried out by our department and the research department.

Activity time:1early February.

Pre-activity budget: 200 yuan.

During the activity, the new members will go through the procedures of pre-planning, details in the work process and post-summary, etc., under the leadership of the 08-level members, so as to strengthen the team building and further improve the team's handling ability.

Four. Other activities

1. On the premise of holding a series of high-quality activities, make full use of the innovative thinking of newcomers, conduct internal consultations, register in the office in time after the activities are approved, communicate with departments that need cooperation (such as outreach and publicity), and determine the details of the activities; In the process of activities, we should rationally divide our work, clarify our responsibilities, handle the relationship between study and work, and ensure the high-quality and efficient completion of activities; After the activity, hand in the activity summary in time to accumulate experience for future work.
