It is a poor mountain village in the west of the motherland. Although the traffic is blocked and the economy is backward, this is a beautiful village with simple folk customs. However, people here still rely on people carrying horses to cultivate farmland and get in touch with the outside world. People are hardworking and simple, but they love their hometown and motherland very much and have lofty ideals and dreams. Generation after generation here has always believed that knowledge can change fate and taught children to study hard, because reading is the only way for us to get out of poor mountain villages. I come from a beautiful village with dreams.

My family has my parents, my brother and I, and my grandmother in her 80 s. As people in this village, grandparents understand that knowledge can change their destiny, and reading is the only way out, but in that era when they didn't even have enough to eat, livelihood was the most important thing, so their parents' generation was illiterate and didn't go to school, let alone their mother.

Due to the limitation of mom and dad's knowledge structure, this undoubtedly leads to mom and dad can only farm and even have no ability to go out to work. Therefore, the only source of income at home can only rely on a few acres of thin land, but a few acres of thin land can only barely survive for hardworking rural people. When we were very young, we had nothing to worry about because we basically didn't have to spend money.

However, as my brother and I grow up, my grandparents get older and my parents are under increasing pressure, but there is still so much land. At the same time, it has long been buried in the depths of parents' minds, and grandparents often talk nonstop. Our grades in school are still excellent, so my parents have been asking me and my brother to study hard. No matter how hard they work, they also hope that my brother and I can realize the dream of our family for generations, get into a university and go out. Whenever my parents say this, my heart is full of sorrow and joy.

More than once, I was ready to give up when I saw my parents' sadness and hardship, but every time the whole family scolded me with tears, saying that as long as I realized their wishes well, they would have no regrets, and it would be worthwhile to be tired and bitter again. If I give up just because of my family situation, it will be the biggest sin for them and I will be sorry for their ancestors. So I must endure the pain and continue my academic career.

Finally, under the tearful teaching of my parents and my efforts, I got the notice of my dream university-the notice of xx University in XX month.

At this time, the family is sad and happy. Happily, I finally realized the dream of several generations, which means I can walk out of my poor and backward beautiful mountain village. Sadly, in the past few years when my brother and I went to school, the family has been under a lot of load, and my parents in their 40 s have turned gray. In those days, my parents had to do farm work every day, but they had to go door to door to find ways to pay my tuition. In the end, they were not together. Finally, with the help of teachers, they learned about the excellent policies of the country and could study with student loans, so I came to my dream city and school as I wished.

In just one month, I set foot on the train going north and looked at my parents' tired back, as if after several years, my white hair had increased a lot. I have always been strong, and I have secretly left tears. I silently decided that I would strive to stand on my own feet in college. I don't want my parents to take full responsibility for me, let alone my brother who is still studying.

After I came to the school, with the help of the relevant personnel of the school, I successfully got a four-year student loan, which temporarily solved the problem of high tuition. However, as a child from a poor and backward mountain village like me, coming to the holy land of the motherland-XX, this aspect of life is still a huge economic pressure.

Therefore, I have been actively applying for work-study programs from the university for three years, and I have also done a lot of work-study programs. When you have time, go out to do part-time jobs, try to earn some living expenses for yourself, and rarely go home in winter and summer vacations. However, although my Mandarin is not very good, I still can't realize my decision to stand on my own feet completely.

Going home for the New Year for the second time in xx made me feel heartbroken. My parents are nearly 50 years old and their hair is gray. My father has lost weight because of fatigue. My mother suffers from illness all the year round. She lived in the compound several times, and they didn't let my brother tell me about it. Suddenly I don't know how to face my parents, and I even feel that I am not a person. Usually I am at school, as long as I call home, my parents are talking and laughing, and everything is fine.
