Nalanduo Temple is a Buddhist temple, near Shecheng, the ancient king of Mohato, 90 kilometers southeast of Patna, the capital of Bihar in central India. Nalanduo Temple was the Buddhist research center at that time, which was about 0/2km away from the ancient Nalanduo Temple site in nalanda university, covering an area of 2,700 mu, with 7 colleges and more than 2,000 students.

Nalanduo Temple was first built around the 5th century. After centuries of management and expansion by emperors, it is said that in its heyday, Nalanduo Temple had 9 million books, and more than 6,543.8+million monks and students were studying here, from China, Mongolia, Korea, Japan, Persia and other places. China famous monks, such as Xuanzang and Yijing, who have studied Buddhist scriptures in the western regions, recorded the features of this famous temple and institution of higher learning in detail in their works. Although Nalanduo Temple is a Buddhist institution, its teaching and research are not limited to Buddhism, and there are many secular disciplines, such as astronomy, mathematics, language, medicine and so on.
