The School of Information Engineering of Tarim University was established in September 2003, specializing in training information science professionals. At present, the college has made rapid development and great progress in terms of school conditions, professional development and discipline construction.
The college has three teaching units: computer department, communication engineering department and mathematics department, and four teaching auxiliary units: college office, academic affairs office, student office and information and computing science experiment center. There are five undergraduate majors in computer science and technology, communication engineering, applied statistics, internet of things engineering and network engineering, as well as master's degree programs in agricultural engineering "agricultural electrification and automation" and agricultural popularization "agricultural informatization".
