Yuelu Mountain, located on the west bank of Xiangjiang River in Changsha, is the tail of the seventy-two peaks of Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue, and has been a famous scenic spot since ancient times. The water is not deep, and the dragon has spirit. "Although Yuelu Book is not high, it is indeed a famous mountain with profound cultural heritage, and 15 is listed as a key cultural relics protection unit at or above the provincial level. Nearly 100 scenic spots such as Qingfeng Gorge, Aiwan Pavilion, Lushan Temple, Baihequan, Cai E Tomb, Huangxing Tomb, Yu Wang Tomb, Yunlu Palace and Yuelu Academy are fascinating everywhere.

Now, we come to the core scenic spot of Yuelu Mountain-Qingfeng Gorge. There are lush trees, shady trees, surrounded by streams and mountains on three sides. The scenery is very beautiful. From Qingfeng gorge to the top of the mountain, a large number of original secondary forests have been preserved. There are 977 species of plants, including 555 species of wild seed plants and exotic flowers and grasses, which can be seen everywhere. At the mouth of Qingfeng Canyon, there stands the Love Evening Pavilion, one of the famous pavilions in China. Aiwan Pavilion was built in the 57th year of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty, namely 1972. Its founder was Luo Dian, then president of Yuelu Academy, a great scholar and educator. In the past, the Qingfeng Canyon was all over the maple forest, so the pavilions in Luodian were named "Hongye Pavilion" and "Aifeng Pavilion". Later, Bi Yuan, Governor of Huguang, felt that the scenery here was complete. The poem "Mountain Walk" written by the poet Du Mu was renamed "Love Night Pavilion". Indeed, the top of Yuelu Mountain in late autumn is shrouded in clouds, and the maple leaves around the Love Night Pavilion are as red as fire and gorgeous as blazing, which vividly shows the artistic conception in the poem.

Now, you can see the whole picture of Love Night Pavilion. It sits west facing east, surrounded by green mountains and rugged rocks, and surrounded by streams, trees, streams and rocks. When Comrade Mao Zedong was studying and working in Hunan No.1 Normal School in his youth, he often boarded the Love Night Pavilion with Cai Hesen, Luo Xuezan, Zhang Kundi and other close friends, "pointing out the mountains and inspiring the writing", and sometimes even stayed up all night. 1952 When rebuilding the Love Night Pavilion, Li Da, then president of Hunan University, asked Chairman Mao to write the name of the pavilion. Chairman Mao gladly wrote the three characters "Love Evening Pavilion", which is the plaque on the lintel of the pavilion now.

Now you can see a couplet on the pavilion: "The trail is red and comfortable at dusk, and 500 peaches are newly planted;" The gorge is dark green, and a pair of tame cranes are waiting in the cage. "This is the title of Luodian, the builder of Aiwan Pavilion, which shows the charm of Aiwan Pavilion.

When Changsha and Kagoshima became sister cities, the Love Night Pavilion, as a symbol of the ancient city of Changsha, was built in imitation of Japan, thus becoming the messenger of Sino-Japanese friendship.
