Wuhan Institute of Technology is known as the "cradle of high-level talents in chemical industry" and is a "green red flag unit" and "ecological garden school" in Hubei Province. The one-time employment rate of graduates remains above 93%, and the undergraduate education rate is above 30%. The school was founded in June, 1972, formerly known as Hubei Institute of Chemical Technology and Petroleum, under the jurisdiction of Hubei Province.
