The archway of the old Wuhan University was completed by the National Wuhan University in 193 1, but it was destroyed by a tornado the following year. The archway we see now was completed in 1937.

The new archway is 1992. In order to welcome the 0/00th anniversary of the founding of the school, Wuda University began to build a new archway on the basis of the old buildings in the Republic of China, which was completed before the Teachers' Day in 1993.

The new archway rebuilt on 20 12 10 Bayi Road was also demolished.
