The fine arts major of Northwest Normal University is a batch of undergraduates, but it is not a national key discipline, and it is a provincial first-class undergraduate major construction point.

According to the Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education on Publishing the List of National and Provincial First-class Undergraduate Specialty Construction Sites in 20 19 (JIAO Gao Ban [20 19] No.46), the list of national and provincial first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites in 2019 was published.

All the 18 majors recommended by Northwest Normal University were selected into the first batch of construction projects, among which 13 major was approved as a national first-class undergraduate specialty construction site, and five majors were approved as provincial first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites.

Ideological and political education, pedagogy, educational technology, physical education, Chinese language and literature, English, history, mathematics and applied mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological sciences, applied psychology, radio and television editing and directing have been approved as national first-class undergraduate professional construction sites.

Law, geography, computer science and technology, musicology and fine arts were approved as provincial first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites.
