The central government and various provinces and cities have issued a series of policies that care for and give preferential treatment to military families and retired soldiers. The state and the army attach great importance to the training and use of college students' soldiers, and have formulated a series of preferential policies, which provide a good environment and conditions for the all-round development of college students in the army.
1, select non-commissioned officers. The army gives priority to selecting non-commissioned officers from college graduates, and the time spent studying in local colleges and universities is regarded as service time.
2. apply for military schools. College students can apply for military schools and full-time college graduates, and those who perform well can be sent to military schools for study and promoted to officers after passing the training.
3. Do it directly. Graduates who take part in the national unified college entrance examination and obtain full-time undergraduate and bachelor's degrees, graduates who take part in the national unified postgraduate entrance examination and obtain full-time master's degrees can be directly promoted if they perform well during their service.
Third, it is economical.
1, conscript discount. When college students join the army, they will be given resettlement fees according to the urban household registration standards. In 20021year, the standard of settling-in expenses for college students' conscripts in Kaifeng is 20400 yuan/year.

3. Pension. Conscripts retired from active service after serving for two years. Fourth, there is security after retirement.
1, instruction placement. Non-commissioned officers who have served in active service 12 years or more, who have won Class II in peacetime or Class III in wartime during active service, retired soldiers disabled by war and children of martyrs shall be arranged by the government.
2. Orientation test. Eligible retired soldiers, when applying for civil servants and staff of public institutions, will be given priority under the same conditions. The experience of active service in the army is regarded as grassroots work experience, and the number of years of active service is calculated as the length of service.
3. Go back to school. After college students or freshmen are drafted into the army, their original colleges and universities retain their school status or admission qualifications during their service, and they are allowed to resume their studies or admission within 2 years after retirement. After retiring, with the consent of the school, you can return to school and transfer to other majors. After entering or resuming school, military skills training is exempted and credits are obtained directly. The enlistment experience of higher vocational college students can be regarded as graduation internship experience.
4. School is preferred. Set up a special enrollment plan for retired college students and soldiers with master's degree and ordinary undergraduate course. Graduates with higher vocational education will be admitted to adult undergraduate courses without examination after retirement; Students in higher vocational colleges who have won the third-class merit or above will be admitted to ordinary undergraduate courses without examination after completing their higher vocational studies. The military service of college students is included in the selection index system for students who are exempt from military service. Those who have won the second-class merit in the army and meet the requirements for postgraduate registration may study for a master's degree without being recommended by the preliminary examination; Fresh graduates of ordinary colleges and universities should take the national postgraduate entrance examination within 3 years after they have been enlisted for compulsory military service and completed their undergraduate studies. The total score of the initial test is 10, and priority is given to admission under the same conditions.
5. Support employment. Soldiers will participate in vocational education and skills training free of charge within 1 year after retirement; Retired soldiers engaged in self-employment shall be given tax incentives and loan support.
